Merchants Metals is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Harrison team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service experience who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and build a career in manufacturing.

Pay: $15 an hour 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm and overtime as needed

What You'll Do

As a Customer Service Representative, you will work closely with customers, sales teams, and plant personnel to support daily business operations. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting customers with questions, orders, and product information
• Entering and processing customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Preparing customer quotes and providing pricing information
• Communicating order status and delivery updates
• Supporting the sales team with administrative and customer service needs
• Researching and helping resolve customer concerns
• Maintaining customer records and account information
• Collaborating with internal departments to ensure excellent customer service
• Learning our products, systems, and industry processes through on-the-job training

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Preferred but Not Required

• Customer service experience
• Administrative or office experience
• Experience working with customers in any capacity
