Hoag Health, Orange County's highest-ranked health system, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Psychiatrist to join the growing Hoag Center for Brain Health. We are seeking a physician who is passionate about caring for older adults with memory, cognitive, and behavioral health disorders and who is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care. This is a unique opportunity to help shape an innovative, multidisciplinary program supporting patients and families throughout their cognitive health journey.
As a key member of the Center for Brain Health, the Geriatric Psychiatrist will provide evaluation and treatment for older adults with cognitive impairment, dementia, depression, anxiety, psychosis, and other neuropsychiatric conditions. You will lead psychiatric management, optimize medication regimens, and partner with patients and caregivers to address complex behavioral and mental health needs.
Beyond clinical care, the Geriatric Psychiatrist will play a pivotal role in the continued development of the Center for Brain Health, helping to design and expand innovative programs for older adults. This includes development of specialized behavioral health services, including an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), participation in clinical research and therapeutic trials, and collaboration in the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies and novel treatments aimed at improving cognitive, behavioral, and mental health outcomes for aging populations.
Working within a highly collaborative care model, you will partner closely with behavioral neurologists, geriatricians, neuropsychologists, palliative care specialists, therapists, social workers, and nursing professionals to develop coordinated, individualized care plans.
At Hoag, we are proud of our physician-led, patient-centered culture built on collaboration, innovation, respect, and excellence. Physicians benefit from strong interdisciplinary partnerships, access to leading clinical programs and research opportunities, and the ability to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults and their families.
Join a nationally recognized organization that is redefining brain health and aging care while delivering exceptional outcomes for the communities we serve.
