Founded by a pioneer in the data center REIT industry, CloudHQ develops and delivers mission-critical infrastructure for many of the world's largest technology companies.

The QAQC Manager will be responsible for managing and implementing CloudHQ’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control program throughout all phases of data centre construction projects. Reporting to the QAQC Manager (EMEA), this role ensures technical compliance, repeatability, traceability, and standardization across all mechanical, electrical, and civil works.

Acting as the interface between construction and commissioning teams, this role drives quality control practices, oversees site inspections, and guarantees that each project meets CloudHQ’s high standards of reliability and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement CloudHQ’s QA/QC program on London projects, ensuring alignment with corporate quality standards and project-specific requirements.
  • Supervise QA/QC personnel and contractors engaged in on-site quality activities.
  • Incorporate lessons learned from previous projects to refine processes and prevent recurring issues.
  • Perform regular site inspections during construction phases, verifying installations against QA/QC procedures, UK building regulations, and EU standards.
  • Review and validate MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and CSA (civil, structural, architectural) works for compliance with technical specifications.
  • Ensure all inspection and testing records are properly documented, traceable, and compliant with CloudHQ procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, vendors, and the regional QAQC Manager (EMEA) to resolve quality issues efficiently.
  • Provide technical support and training to contractor teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and CloudHQ specifications.
  • Communicate regularly with QAQC teams across Europe to share updates, initiatives, and lessons learned.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing inspection findings, corrective actions, KPIs, and trends.
  • Manage complete QAQC documentation, including test results, non-conformance reports, and quality audit records.
  • Analyse performance data and inspection outcomes to identify improvement areas and mitigate risks.
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA/QC procedures and tools used across European sites.
  • Support consistent implementation of inspection methodologies across all UK/EU data centre projects.
  • Collaborate with commissioning teams to verify readiness and ensure installations meet operational standards for handover.
  • Mentor junior QAQC professionals and contractor teams involved in on-site quality assurance.
  • Maintain active presence at construction sites within London, with occasional travel to other European projects when required.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong command of MEP and CSA systems typical of data centre builds.
  • Technical understanding of electrical UPS systems, switchgear, generators, cooling systems, and fire suppression installations.
  • Experience conducting detailed inspections and managing systematic testing procedures.
  • Deep understanding of UK/EU construction codes, standards, permitting, health & safety, and EU building regulations.
  • Ability to ensure local and regional compliance with CloudHQ’s QA/QC systems and operational standards.
  • Proven experience  overseeing QAQC programs on large, multi-stakeholder construction projects.
  • Competency in balancing stringent quality requirements with schedule and budget goals.
  • Skilled in QAQC tracking and project management software tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, meetings, and technical correspondence.
  • Strong collaboration abilities to interface between internal teams and external contractors.
  • Analytical and proactive approach to identifying risks and resolving construction challenges promptly.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in construction quality assurance and control, preferably within data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years in commissioning or facility operations with quality oversight responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), inspection protocols, and testing equipment used in MEP disciplines.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and /EU quality documentation processes.
