Head of Distribution
Description

Larson Capital Management LLC sponsors real estate investments for accredited investors, including new development, Opportunity Zone and stabilized/1031 strategies. LCM's capital has come primarily through the Larson Financial Group advisor network. We are now building a third-party distribution capability to reach independent RIAs, family offices and broker-dealers.

The Head of Distribution is the first hire for that effort. You will build the channel from the ground up, start as a hands-on leader and seller, and over time lead LCM's sales organization.

Location and Travel

Based in Houston, TX or St. Louis, MO office. Regular travel to meet investors, advisors and platform partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the foundation for outside investors with our Product, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams: diligence materials, reviewed marketing collateral, subscription and onboarding processes, platform applications and allocation policy.
  • Open and grow relationships with RIAs and family offices, develop centers of influence, and establish selling agreements with broker-dealers.
  • Recruit, hire and lead the first wholesalers and internal sales support, and design how the team grows.
  • Work with Larson Financial Group leadership so the new channel and the existing advisor network complement each other.
  • Track pipeline, approvals, investor retention and the cost of raising capital, and report results to senior leadership.
Requirements
  • A record of raising capital in alternative investments, ideally real estate or other private markets, that you can document with specific investors and amounts.
  • Established relationships with RIAs, family offices and/or broker-dealers that you can credibly engage.
  • Experience selling to fiduciary investors who run formal diligence and approval processes.
  • A track record of building a program, channel or team. Experience managing sales professionals is strongly preferred.
  • Appropriate FINRA registrations or the ability to obtain them (typically Series 7 and 63, with others possible), and a clean regulatory record.
  • Familiarity with development, Opportunity Zone or 1031/DST real estate is a plus.

What success looks like

  • In the first year: the foundation for outside investors is in place, first relationships are open and the first wholesalers are in the field.
  • Over the following years: a growing base of approved relationships and repeat investors, built efficiently, with a path to leading the sales organization.
