Production Worker / Box Truck Driver

The Jay Group, LTD / Bargain Lane is a discount and liquidation retail company seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Worker / Box Truck Driver. This is a dual role that requires a versatile individual who can contribute to both warehouse operations and local deliveries.

About the Role:

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to various aspects of our business. You will be responsible for a combination of production-related tasks within our warehouse/manufacturing facility and the safe and efficient delivery of goods to our customers using a box truck.

Responsibilities (Production Worker):

• Perform various production tasks, which may include sorting, processing, pricing, and allocating goods to our retail facilities.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities (Box Truck Driver):

• Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Plan delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Local driving ONLY!!!

Qualifications:

• Valid INDIANA driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle.
• Proven ability to perform physical labor and lift/carry heavy objects (specify weight limits if applicable).
• Prior experience in a production or warehouse environment preferred.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
