Senior Event Producer, Experience Strategy & Stage Production
Fully Remote
Job Type
Full-time
Description

About the role

If you're an event producer who walks into the client meeting with an innovative idea and then walks onto the show floor to make it happen, we want to meet you.

As Augeo’s next Senior Event Producer, you'll own creative ideas and lead the technical production of live, virtual, and hybrid experiences, from general sessions and keynotes to sales kickoffs, user conferences, leadership meetings, and more. This creative leadership role goes well beyond show calling and stage management: you'll take each idea from early concept and stage design through build and show day, with the audience experience and client objectives at the center.

The ideal candidate is part creative director, part technical producer, and part client lead and is as comfortable pitching a concept to executives as they are leading a general session from the production table. They stay curious about new production trends and technology (including AI-assisted content and virtual production), and are willing to take smart, accountable risks to push our work forward.

Working closely with account, creative design, and client teams, the Senior Event Producer owns the budget, timeline, run of show, content, scripts, and speaker coaching, and directs production partners and technical crews across a full portfolio of programs spanning live, virtual, and hybrid formats.

What you'll do

  • Develop innovative production concepts and experience strategies that support program objectives and audience engagement and present them to clients.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and integration of production elements, including stage design, scenic concepts, lighting, audio, video, graphics, presentation support, speaker content, and show flow.
  • Track production trends and emerging technology, including AI-assisted content workflows, virtual production, LED, and immersive formats, and bring creative ideas to clients and the team.
  • Produce virtual and hybrid programs, including selecting and directing streaming and webinar platforms, remote speaker workflows, and recording.
  • Lead video and content production for programs: script and storyboard with the creative team, direct shoots with in-house or freelance crews, review edits and motion graphics, and keep content on brief and on schedule.
  • Plan upstream, often months before the event, moving each program from intake and client kickoff through planning, executive review, pre-onsite calls, onsite execution, and post-show closeout.
  • Own run-of-show documentation, production schedules, and technical timelines, lead rehearsals, dry runs, and speaker preparation, and serve as onsite production lead, using venue and technical reviews to flag risks early.
  • Manage production vendors, freelancers, and our preferred partners for staging, custom fabrication, and hotel AV.
  • Manage production budgets, hours, and margin from SOW through closeout, raising scope changes and potential overages with the account team and client early.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of experience in experiential marketing strategy and live event production, specifically large-scale conferences, corporate meetings, or client-facing events.
  • Hands-on experience producing virtual or hybrid programs as the production lead.
  • Experience driving the creative and strategic vision (beyond show calling or stage managing) with specific projects you can walk us through in detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills, a calm, collaborative approach under pressure, and experience presenting ideas and recommendations directly to client executives.
  • Experience managing production budgets and vendors, including tracking hours and margin against the original scope.
  • Strong technical command of stage production, including scenic, lighting, audio, video, graphics, and show flow, and comfort running a show onsite alongside partner crews.
  • Experience leading or overseeing video production, from scripting and directing shoots through review of edits and motion graphics.
  • Hands-on experience using emerging production technology (AI tools, LED, virtual production, immersive) on real programs, and the judgment to take smart, accountable risks with it.
  • Hands-on video editing or motion graphics (for example, Premiere Pro or After Effects) so you can handle quick-turn edits when needed.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% and work extended, nontraditional hours during event execution.
