Managing Director of Resource Development & Communications
Job Type
Full-time
Description

The Managing Director of Resource Development & Communications is a senior leadership role responsible for raising capital for New Jersey Community Capital by building and managing relationships with foundations, individual donors, government agencies, banks, Donor Advised Funds, businesses, impact investors, and corporate partners. This is a relationship-driven, revenue-generating role. The Managing Director is expected to maintain an active calendar of funder and prospect meetings, bring an existing network of contacts into the position, and independently move relationships from introduction to solicitation to renewal with minimal day-to-day direction.

As a member of NJCC’s senior leadership team, the Managing Director sets the organization’s fundraising and capitalization strategy, leads the development of a multi-year capitalization plan in partnership with the CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, and is accountable for annual revenue goals. The Managing Director also oversees NJCC’s government affairs and communications and marketing function, working with a communications associate and NJCC’s outside communications/PR consultant to manage NJCC’s public voice and submit grant applications, as needed. The Managing Director partners with program, real estate, and lending teams to track and report the organization’s impact numbers to funders and the public, and works closely with senior leadership and the Board.
