About the role

ProCo is hiring a Data Analyst to own clean, reliable data for our Analytics team. You’ll pull data from healthcare systems, clean and reconcile it, segment it, and automate the manual work along the way. It’s a development role with direct coaching from the Director, hands-on exposure to our new data warehouse, and a path to Senior Data Analyst or Business Analyst.

Who we are

ProCo is a growing healthcare organization with 21 clinics and surgery centers across metro Atlanta and 5 service lines. Data flows in from EHR, practice management, billing, payroll and financial systems. We’re investing in analytics, including a new data warehouse being built now, and we’re growing the team that turns that data into one clear picture of the business.

What you’ll do

Extract and consolidate

  • Pull data from EHR, practice management, billing, payroll and GL systems using SQL and system exports
  • Join and consolidate multi-source data into single, reliable datasets

Clean, match and reconcile

  • Find and fix gaps, duplicates, mismatched codes and inconsistent definitions before data reaches a report
  • Match provider, payer and patient records across systems so each is counted once
  • Reconcile totals across systems (for example, billing vs. GL) and flag what doesn’t tie

Segment and deliver

  • Segment data by practice, provider, payer, service line and period
  • Maintain the standard datasets behind recurring reports and refresh Power BI dashboards
  • Deliver datasets on deadline with a short note on contents and caveats

Document and automate

  • Maintain data dictionaries, standard definitions and a query library
  • Automate repetitive pulls and cleanup steps, and add quality checks to recurring work

Grow into

  • Learn the analysis side from the Director: drivers, variances, practice and provider performance
  • Support the data warehouse build: loading sources, mapping fields and testing data
  • Present datasets and findings in team meetings

What success looks like at 12 months

  • Clean data: core recurring datasets documented, reconciled and trusted by the Director without re-checking
  • Automation: at least three manual processes automated
  • Delivery: requests delivered accurately and on deadline
  • Growth: first analysis assignments completed with the Director, contributing to the warehouse build, and presenting to the team

What you bring

Required

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst or data role
  • Solid SQL: multi-table joins, filtering and aggregations (CTEs and window functions a plus; we’ll teach the rest)

  • An automation mindset, with examples of turning a manual process into a repeatable one
  • Coachable and eager to learn, with high attention to detail
  • Clear written and verbal communication about data and its limits
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data analytics, statistics, economics, finance, business or a related field

Nice to have

  • Power BI, including data modeling
  • Python (pandas) or another scripting language
