About the role

The Senior Total Rewards Analyst supports the design, implementation, and day-to-day administration of Fermi America's compensation and benefits programs, policies, and processes. Reporting to the Vice President, Total Rewards, you will run our core annual cycles, including the merit review cycle, the promotions cycle, and benefits open enrollment.

You will also provide the analysis behind pay and benefits decisions and help build programs that scale with the company. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the numbers and the people side of total rewards.

What you will do

Compensation

  • Support the design, implementation, and administration of base pay, short-term incentive, and long-term incentive programs.
  • Run the annual merit review cycle end to end: budget modeling, merit guidelines, manager training, data validation, approvals, and system uploads.
  • Manage the annual promotions cycle and review off-cycle pay changes for consistency with guidelines, internal equity, and budget.
  • Evaluate and price jobs using salary survey data, recommend levels and pay ranges, and advise on new-hire offers.
  • Help build and maintain job architecture, salary structures, and FLSA exempt/non-exempt classifications; manage annual salary survey submissions.
  • Support equity plan administration and executive compensation work, including peer benchmarking and Compensation Committee and proxy materials.

Benefits

  • Administer health, welfare, and retirement programs, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, HSA/FSA, EAP, and 401(k).
  • Plan and execute annual open enrollment: plan and rate updates, system configuration and testing, employee communications and sessions, carrier file feeds, and post-enrollment audits.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators, and resolve escalated employee issues.
  • Analyze plan cost, utilization, and renewal proposals to inform plan design and vendor decisions.
  • Help coordinate leave of absence and disability administration with vendors, Payroll, and HR partners.

Policy, Compliance, and Operations

  • Draft and maintain compensation and benefits policies, procedures, and guidelines, and ensure they are applied consistently.
  • Support compliance with FLSA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and state requirements, as well as pay equity reviews and audits.
  • Prepare data for annual filings and testing.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and Finance to keep compensation and benefits data, system configuration, and pay changes accurate.

Analytics and Communication

  • Build models, reports, and dashboards on compensation and benefits cost, participation, and market competitiveness.
  • Create clear communications and tools, such as total rewards statements, manager guides, and employee FAQs.

Answer complex compensation and benefits questions from employees, managers, and HR partners, and improve and automate processes as the company scales.

Requirements

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards, with hands-on work in both compensation and benefits.
  • Direct experience running annual cycles such as merit and bonus planning, promotions, and benefits open enrollment.
  • Proficiency in job evaluation and market pricing using published salary surveys.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and cost modeling.
