Vehicle Preparation Specialist – Decal & Lettering Removal

America Auto Auction, located in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our vehicle preparation team. This full-time role is essential in ensuring that all vehicles are presented in optimal condition for the auction block. Key Responsibilities

- Safely and efficiently remove vinyl lettering, decals, wraps, and adhesive residue from commercial, fleet, and trade-in vehicles  using specialized tools such as heat guns, rubber eraser wheels, and plastic scrapers.

- Prepare vehicles by thoroughly cleaning and inspecting surfaces to ensure all decals and residues are fully removed.

- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures when operating tools and equipment.

- Assist in the overall vehicle preparation process to meet presentation standards before vehicles are auctioned.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

Skills and Qualifications

- Prior experience in vehicle detailing, decal removal, or related automotive preparation is preferred.

- Ability to operate specialized tools safely and effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.

- Good physical stamina and dexterity to handle repetitive tasks and work in various environmental conditions.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions accurately.
