Position: Basketball Coach MS Boys Basketball (5th, 6th, 7th)

Report to: Director of Athletics

Department: Faculty

FTE: Part-time, Seasonal 

Schedule: Winter sport season. Tuesday and Thursday practices. Roughly 6 weekday games and 8 weekend games. 

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt 

Pay Rate: $60.00 hour

Summary

 We’re looking for an energetic, knowledgeable coach to work for the SF Day basketball program. You’ll be responsible for player development, game strategy, and creating a positive, collaborative team culture.

Responsibilities

· Plan and run practices focused on fundamentals, conditioning, and team concepts

· Develop game strategies and make in-game coaching decisions

· Teach and model sportsmanship, accountability, and respect

· Communicate regularly with players, parents, and administrators

· Oversee player safety, equipment, and practice facilities

· Track player progress and provide constructive feedback

· Attend all scheduled practices and games

Qualifications

· Prior experience coaching basketball

· Strong knowledge of basketball rules, skills, and strategy

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Ability to motivate and work with athletes of varying skill levels

· Availability for evenings and weekends during the season

· Must pass a background check

· First aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
