AMR Management Services is excited to offer a rewarding career opportunity for a full-time remote Executive Director to join our team of association professionals.
The Executive Director provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for assigned client(s), partnering with the Board of Directors, volunteer leaders, members, and AMR’s internal teams to advance the association’s mission and achieve its strategic goals. As part of AMR’s association management model, the Executive Director can focus on organizational leadership, Board partnership, and member impact while leveraging AMR’s shared services and operational support to bring strategic priorities to life.
Serving as both a strategic partner and hands-on leader, the successful candidate will bring significant association management experience, strong executive presence, and the ability to translate vision into action. This individual must be comfortable navigating complex challenges, developing creative solutions, managing financial and operational priorities, and building productive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Experience managing a national medical or healthcare association is highly preferred.
The role is dynamic and fast-paced with multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities requiring attention simultaneously. Success requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with practical execution, adapt to changing needs, exercise sound judgment in complex or ambiguous situations, independently manage competing priorities, and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the association and its impact. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, solutions-oriented leader who enjoys working with volunteer leadership, developing people, and delivering results while balancing exceptional client service with sound business practices.
