Produce Clerk

What you’re great at: 

• Discovering customer needs and providing service in a prompt and courteous manner. 
• Providing a rewarding shopping experience with accurate labeling of product shelf tags, price stickers and/or signs. 
• Effectively managing inventory by pulling back stock and processing new product deliveries. 
• Sharing your working knowledge of produce offerings and trends. 
• Displaying excellent interpersonal skills. 

A day in the life: 

• Ensure product selection accuracy by rotating products, removing damaged or out-of-date stock.
• Manage produce items to consistently provide in an in-stock, on-the-shelf, fully-fronted position with special attention paid to high-volume products as well as special displays and items on sale. 
• Provide excellent customer service to all store patrons. 
• Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned. 
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Previous experience in produce, grocery, or retail environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs frequently
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
