What you would do here:
The Claim Adjuster is responsible for processing claims according to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, adhering to the carrier authority guidelines, and authorizing payment and denial as appropriate.
What you already know and have done:
· Review and process claims.
· Communicate with insureds and other third parties to obtain information needed for processing.
· obtain medical reviews and translations as needed.
· Prepare files for Tiered Authorization when above adjustor authority.
· prepare files for Carrier Review when required.
· Identify suspicious activity on claim files and follow procedures for investigation.
· Identify third party liability and follow the necessary process for subrogation.
· Review assigned escalations quickly and efficiently.
· Maintain set quality and production standards.
· Maintain proper file notations indicating outcome of reviews.
Ideally You Have:
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Experience: Minimum 2 years claims processing preferred
· Certifications: Property & Casualty adjuster license required or THE ABILITY to acquire one within 90 days of hire
· Software: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software
