About Post Acute Analytics
Post Acute Analytics (PAA) is a healthcare technology company building the operating system for post-acute care. Millions of Americans transition each year out of the hospital into skilled nursing, home health, or back home, and those transitions too often fail them. Readmissions, medication errors, missed follow-ups, families left in the dark. Our clinical intelligence platform, Anna, gives providers, payers, and caregivers the visibility and workflow tools to get the right care to the right person at the right time.
PAA combines deep clinical expertise, connected technology, and industry-leading datasets to help our partners deliver better outcomes, streamline care coordination, and improve the patient experience across the post-acute continuum. Today Anna operates across millions of covered lives, more than 40 states, and many of the industry’s most recognized payer and provider organizations.
What distinguishes PAA is how we work. Clinical judgment leads. Technology amplifies clinician expertise rather than replacing it. Client trust is infrastructure, not a metric. Post-acute care is genuinely complex, and we build for that complexity honestly.
PAA currently partners with many of the top health systems, most national health plans, and leading national and regional post-acute providers. What makes PAA distinctive isn’t the funding or the growth curve — it’s how we work. Autonomy and ownership are non-negotiable. AI amplifies expertise, it doesn’t replace it. User trust is infrastructure, not a metric.
The opportunity
The Director of National Accounts is the senior relationship owner for a portfolio of PAA’s most strategic national payer and health system accounts. You’re the person the client’s leadership calls when they need something moved, and you’re the person inside PAA who makes sure we deliver what we committed to.
You’ll be accountable for ensuring each of your accounts meets or exceeds its contractual goals — the outcomes, KPIs, and value PAA promised at signing. That means owning the client relationship end-to-end: setting the account strategy, running the executive cadence, quarterbacking Clinical, Product, and Operations to deliver against commitments, and stepping into the work yourself when the account needs a diagnosis, a plan, or a deliverable.
This is a senior client executive role for someone who is equally comfortable in a client’s C-suite conversation and in the workbook that supports it. You’ll lead executive-level conversations and also personally build the materials that go into them. Strategic advisory is core to the job — you’ll operate as a consultant to client operating leadership, diagnosing challenges, designing recommendations, and personally leading the strategic initiatives that determine whether PAA delivers value inside each account. As PAA’s national portfolio grows, you’ll help build a scalable account-ownership model — with the potential to develop direct reports over time.
Defining success
By the end of the first year, this hire will have delivered:
- Retention at or above target across the assigned book, with each account meeting or exceeding its contractual goals.
- Measurable operating improvements or stability under targets — outcomes, utilization, or ROI — that clients will publicly attribute to PAA.
- A trusted-advisor position with each account’s operating leadership.
- Clear internal alignment across Clinical, Product, and Operations on the delivery commitments for each account.
What you’ll own
Executive account leadership
- Serve as the senior PAA relationship owner for assigned national payer and health system accounts, with primary accountability for VP-level and executive relationships within each.
- Lead executive-level QBRs and strategic reviews; represent PAA at the altitude these accounts operate at.
- Own escalations personally — no handoffs, no diffusion of ownership.
Delivering on contractual goals
- Ensure each account meets or exceeds its contractual commitments — outcomes, KPIs, service levels, and business objectives.
- Monitor utilization, engagement, and performance data across accounts; proactively identify risks and drive mitigation before they become escalations.
- Track and analyze KPIs and performance targets; surface outliers, root cause them, and drive corrective action across internal teams.
- Own the renewal cycle for named accounts; partner with Growth to identify and hand off expansion opportunities with the context needed to close.
Strategic advisory and consulting
- Act as a strategic consultant to client operating leadership — diagnose operational, clinical, and financial challenges; design recommendations; and lead the initiatives that determine whether the partnership delivers value.
- Design and drive strategic initiatives inside each account (utilization optimization, workflow redesign, ROI expansion, network strategy) that go beyond baseline account management.
- Translate client business objectives into a clear operating plan for the internal PAA delivery teams; hold PAA accountable for what was promised.
- Personally lead root cause analyses, recovery plans, and strategic deliverables when accounts require them — synthesizing across Clinical, Product, and Operations into executive-ready recommendations.
- Build the ROI and outcomes narrative for each account: what value PAA has delivered, what’s next, and how we prove it.
- Bring analytical rigor to account planning — utilization trends, KPI performance, financial modeling, and outlier diagnostics.
Cross-functional leadership
- Quarterback cross-functional teams (Clinical, Product, Operations, Implementation, Growth) to deliver against account commitments.
- Serve as the primary voice of the client internally — inform the product roadmap, escalate integration and delivery risks, and influence prioritization.
- Partner with Sales and the executive team on strategic pursuits, references, and expansion within national accounts.
What we’re looking for
Required
- Eight or more years of progressive client-facing experience, including substantial time leading enterprise healthcare accounts — as a Client Executive, Account Director, National Account Manager, Client Partner, or equivalent.
- Direct experience managing national payer relationships (Medicare Advantage, MCOs, managed care organizations, or ACOs). You’ve been in the room with health plan operating leadership and can navigate their org structure and clinical operations.
- Deep post-acute care fluency — SNFs, home health, LTACs, prior authorization, case management, and utilization review at a working level, not a conceptual one.
- Demonstrated track record of retaining and growing complex enterprise healthcare accounts by delivering measurable value against contractual commitments.
- Executive presence and credibility with client senior leadership; comfort presenting to and engaging VPs and executive leaders in Utilization Management, Operations, and Clinical Oversight.
- Ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution — you can build the plan and also build the workbook, the deck, and the recovery memo.
- Consulting toolkit — hypothesis-driven problem solving, structured written and verbal communication, executive presence, and the ability to lead strategic initiatives in ambiguous, executive-facing environments.
- Analytical fluency: ROI modeling, KPI diagnostics, utilization data interpretation, and financial narrative construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for executive audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred
- Prior consulting background at a strategy, operations, or management consulting firm is strongly preferred, particularly work engaging healthcare payer, provider, or ACO clients on strategic initiatives.
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH, or clinical) preferred.
- Prior experience at a healthcare technology, care management, or utilization management vendor selling into or supporting national accounts.
- Experience with value-based care contracting, risk-sharing arrangements, or ACO-facing product delivery.
- Experience in a growth-stage healthcare technology environment where roles are broad, resources are lean, and leaders are expected to do rather than just direct.
