The Role
Mobius Logic is seeking a full-time Senior HR Generalist to lead and manage the company’s day-to-day human resources function. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for an experienced HR professional who is ready to take ownership of a broad HR function within a small, growing organization.
The Senior HR Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for HR matters and will manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, HR systems, policy administration, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.
This position will work closely with senior leadership but is expected to independently manage HR priorities, recommend solutions, and drive initiatives from planning through completion. The successful candidate will know when to act independently, when to seek specialized advice, and when a matter requires senior leadership involvement or approval.
This role is well suited for someone who has broad HR experience, is motivated to continue learning, and wants the opportunity to lead an HR function. The right person will be proactive, resourceful, comfortable working with ambiguity, and willing to handle both strategic projects and routine administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day HR operations and serve as the primary HR point of contact for personnel and supervisors.
- Manage recruiting from position intake and sourcing through screening, interviewing, offers, and hiring.
- Manage employee onboarding, offboarding, and transfers coordinating activities across managers, IT, Finance, and other stakeholders.
- Administer benefits, leave, retirement programs, and related employee communications, working with brokers and service providers as needed.
- Support employee relations and advise managers on employee expectations, feedback, documentation, performance concerns, and other HR matters.
- Manage performance review, engagement, recognition, and other people-focused programs.
- Maintain personnel records, HR policies, the employee handbook, and required HR documentation.
- Manage and improve HR systems, workflows, processes, templates, and employee-facing resources.
- Support compliance, required training, audits, reporting, and other HR requirements.
- Own and process payroll, ensuring employee pay, deductions, benefits, and employment changes are accurate and completed on time.
- Own and manage the company’s internship program, coordinating recruiting, onboarding, manager participation, intern experience, and ongoing program improvements.
- Identify HR issues and opportunities, research solutions, make recommendations, and drive initiatives through completion.
- Keep senior leadership informed of significant HR matters, risks, decisions, and priorities without requiring day-to-day oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive, hands-on HR experience across multiple areas of the employee lifecycle.
- Experience with recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment requirements and HR best practices.
- Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive matters.
- Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
- Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and drive work to completion.
- A proactive, resourceful mindset and willingness to research, learn, and take on unfamiliar challenges.
- Ability to recognize when an issue can be handled independently and when leadership or specialized expertise is needed.
- Comfort working in a small-company environment where responsibilities are broad and priorities may change.
Preferred: Experience as a primary HR resource for a small business; HR systems implementation or administration; remote workforces; government contracting or professional services; and/or SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
What Success Looks Like
You take genuine ownership of the HR function. Employees and managers know they can come to you for help, HR priorities move forward without constant follow-up, and leadership has visibility into the things that require its attention. You bring solutions and recommendations, not just problems, and continuously improve the way HR operates as the company grows.
