The Dishwasher is responsible for supplying spotless, sanitized dishes for use in the dining room, clean kitchen utensils to the cooks, for operating the dishwashing machine using appropriate supplies and procedures and always ensuring adequate supplies of dishes and utensils. The Dishwasher also ensures that kitchen floors and the dishwashing area are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition. 

Responsibilities 

• Supply clean, sanitized dishes for use in the dining room 
• Supply clean, sanitized utensils to the cooks 
• Operate dishwashing machine using appropriate supplies and procedures 
• Always ensure adequate supplies of dishes and utensils 
• Ensure kitchen floors and dishwashing area are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary condition

• Previous restaurant or related experience preferred 
• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Valid New Mexico Food Handler certification required before hire 
• Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals 
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, weekdays, and holidays required 

Personal Skills 

• Comfortable working independently and managing workload while supporting a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment 
• Punctuality and reliability are critical 
• Good verbal communication and organizational skills 

Work Environment 

• Ability to work in an environment where the employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, noise, and odors 
• Ability to stand for eight or more hours per day, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds 
• The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures 

Due to the natural environment at Ojo Spa Resorts, all staff must be comfortable outdoors performing physical activities, and be able to navigate uneven ground, diverse terrain, multiple stairs, and be prepared to work in unpredictable weather conditions.
