Schedule: Full Time Mondays thru Fridays

Do you love helping children learn, explore, and grow? The Appletree School is seeking an energetic, caring, and enthusiastic full-time Assistant Teacher to join our team!  In this role, you will partner with Lead Teachers to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel valued and supported. Through meaningful play, positive guidance, and teamwork, you will help make each day a joyful learning experience.

•  Assist Lead Teachers in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities in the classroom and on the playground.
• Support children’s social and emotional growth through positive behavior guidance, helping them build confidence, independence, and problem-solving skills.
• Encourage learning through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful interactions.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized learning environment.
• Bring a positive attitude and work collaboratively with teachers and teammates throughout the school.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with families and communicate professionally during daily interactions, including busy afternoon pickup times.
• Adapt to changing classroom needs, manage multiple responsibilities, and help daily routines and transitions run smoothly.
• Use sound judgment and collaborate with staff and families to address concerns and support children’s health, safety, and well-being.

To succeed in this position you will need the following:

• CDA certificate, working towards an Associates degree or a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in an early childhood environment
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and age appropriate practices
• Effective classroom-management techniques
• Effective leadership and team building skills
• High-level of verbal and written communication skills
• CPR, First Aid, MAT certification or willingness to obtain
