Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Davenport, Iowa (Onsite)

At Grace Technologies, we're growing, and we're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and making things happen.

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes initiative, thinks independently, and is comfortable making decisions. You'll have the autonomy to identify opportunities, challenge existing processes, and implement improvements that make a measurable difference.

Working directly with our Chief Operating Officer, you'll help strengthen our manufacturing operations, introduce automation, improve production efficiency, and build scalable processes that support continued growth.

You'll also have the opportunity to lead and mentor a small team of one or two engineers while staying actively involved in the technical work.

What You'll Own

  • Identify and implement improvements in manufacturing efficiency, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives from identifying opportunities through implementation.
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, and production layouts.
  • Evaluate and implement automation, manufacturing equipment, and capital improvements.
  • Support new product introductions, process validation, and production readiness.
  • Partner with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to solve manufacturing challenges.
  • Make informed decisions, prioritize projects, and take accountability for results.
  • Provide technical guidance and potentially manage one or two engineers.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Typically 5–8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Hands-on experience with process  improvement, manufacturing equipment, automation, or capital projects.
  • Demonstrated success improving  manufacturing performance and solving production challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the confidence to make decisions independently.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to work directly with production teams.
  • The ability to ask thoughtful questions, collaborate effectively, and move projects forward without constant direction.

Experience with electronics or electromechanical manufacturing, soldering, wire processing, robotics, or Lean manufacturing is a big plus.

Why Grace Technologies?

We're an entrepreneurial, growing company where your ideas matter and you're trusted to use your experience and judgment.

You'll work directly with leadership, have the freedom to drive meaningful improvements, and help shape how our manufacturing operations evolve.

We're looking for someone who doesn't just identify what could be better, but takes responsibility for making it better.

What You'll Love About Working Here

  • Autonomy to make decisions and take ownership.
  • Collaborative team and direct access to leadership.
  • Opportunity to mentor engineers while remaining hands-on.
  • Team-building activities and a supportive culture.
  • Free snacks, fresh fruit, soda, water, and gourmet coffee.

Benefits

  • Generous Responsible Time Off plan.
  • Safe Harbor 401(k).
  • Company Wellness Program.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options.
