Serving Arkansas with excellence for over 50 years, Klaasmeyer Construction Company is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our Finance team in Conway, Arkansas. In this position, you will report directly to the Controller and work closely with senior accounting staff to keep the company's financial records accurate, organized, and audit-ready. You'll handle invoice processing, vendor management, purchase order verification, and credit card processing. What You’ll Be Doing

• Inputting invoices, receipts, and payments into the accounting system with a high degree of accuracy
• Setting up new vendor profiles and making sure required tax documentation, including Form W-9, is on file before any payments are processed
• Verifying that purchase orders match invoices in the accounting software — confirming quantities, unit prices, and totals before approving for payment
• Reviewing monthly vendor statements to confirm every listed invoice has been received and processed, and resolving any discrepancies
• Reaching out to vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, missing documentation, and statement reconciliation issues
• Printing checks for review by the Controller or an authorized signatory, with all supporting backup documentation attached
• Processing company credit card transactions — coding charges to the correct accounts, collecting receipts, and reconciling card activity
• Scanning, organizing, and digitizing financial documents in a well-organized, audit-ready electronic filing system
• Helping with outgoing mail and basic banking tasks as directed
• Assisting the accounting team with special projects and basic reconciliations

What We Need From You

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and complex formulas, required
• Experience with accounting software for data entry, invoice processing, and PO verification preferred
• Prior experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support role is a plus but not required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve numerical discrepancies
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor correspondence and internal team coordination
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced accounting environment
• High personal integrity and strict confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and company information

The Physical Reality 

This is an office-based position in Conway, Arkansas, with minimal to no regular travel. Most of your day will be spent at a computer, where focus and accuracy matter most.

• Regular periods of seated computer work
• Frequent close visual work requiring sustained accuracy
• Periodic standing and walking within the office
• Occasional lifting of files, documents, and office supplies up to 20 lbs.
