Why Homewise
We’re out to make New Mexico, and the world, a better place. We do it by helping people get ahead in life through homeownership, so families can build wealth and equity that lasts for generations. We’re entrepreneurial, fast-moving and deeply rooted in our communities, and we find ways to get to “yes.”
We make homeownership possible for people who may not feel ready yet, and we don’t leave anyone to figure it out alone. We meet people where they are and guide them, step by step, toward a home and the long-term financial security that comes with it.
The role
For many of our clients, you’re the first person they meet. As our Albuquerque Receptionist, you’ll greet them with warmth, answer their questions and help them feel confident they’ve come to the right place. You’ll also keep our office running smoothly for the teams who help clients every day.
What you’ll do
- Welcome every client. Greet visitors, answer phones, give directions and resolve routine questions quickly and professionally. Guide people to the right Homewise team, in person and by phone.
- Support clients behind the scenes. Look up basic customer information, scan documents, and collect and log client payments and fees accurately.
- Keep the office running. Maintain a neat, welcoming lobby with water, coffee and supplies stocked. Track office inventory, keep activity logs and files up to date, and sort and distribute mail and the general mailbox email.
- Support our homebuyer classes. Register customers for Homewise training classes and make reminder calls so they show up ready. Assist with the monthly Saturday class set up and break down.
- Be a connector across teams. Work closely with Home Purchase, Loan Servicing, Marketing and other teams, share general information with clients and staff, and back up our Home Purchase Advisors and Technology teams when needed. Use STARS, Outlook and other tools to create presentations, do research and deliver great service.
What you bring

- 3+ years of reception or office experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a must
- Warm, professional communication in person and by phone, and a talent for listening and anticipating what people need
- A customer-first mindset: you respond quickly and go beyond what people expect

- Independence and good judgment: you work well with little supervision and solve problems practically
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint, Outlook) and strong computer and typing skills
- Comfort handling checks, with close attention to detail
- Availability Monday through Friday and Saturday's during the financial fitness classes
- Ability to travel between Albuquerque and Santa Fe as needed
