Technology Development | Annual Salary starting at $125,000

We seek a hands-on Senior .NET Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable services supporting automotive inventory, vehicle pricing, incentives, and payment calculations. The ideal candidate uses AI development tools in everyday engineering while applying sound judgment to security, accuracy, testing, and production reliability.

Backend Engineering & Architecture

  • Design and maintain high-performance C#, .NET 8/10, and ASP.NET Core services and REST APIs.
  • Build services for vehicle inventory, pricing, incentives, and finance/lease payment calculations.
  • Integrate third-party automotive data providers, OEM systems, and payment calculation services.
  • Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability; troubleshoot production incidents.
  • Modernize legacy .NET applications and contribute to service architecture decisions.

Inventory, Pricing & Payments

  • Ingest, normalize, validate, and process vehicle inventory from multiple sources.
  • Implement dealer-specific pricing rules, OEM incentives, rebates, and promotional offers.
  • Develop finance and lease calculations including taxes, fees, and rounding-sensitive financial logic.
  • Ensure pricing and payment consistency across dealer websites and internal applications.
  • Translate automotive requirements into reliable multi-tenant software.

AI-Assisted Development

  • Use GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, documentation, and testing.
  • Review AI-generated output for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability.
  • Explore agentic development workflows and automate repetitive engineering tasks.
  • Share effective AI-assisted engineering practices with colleagues.

Quality & Collaboration

  • Write maintainable, tested code with unit, integration, and API coverage.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical mentorship.
  • Optimize SQL queries, caching, and application performance.
  • Collaborate with product, QA, frontend, DevOps, and engineering leadership.
  • Support CI/CD, observability, and production operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience with substantial production C#/.NET expertise.
  • Strong ASP.NET Core, REST API, asynchronous programming, and backend design skills.
  • Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience including data modeling and query optimization.
  • Experience with distributed, high-volume, or multi-tenant applications.
  • Knowledge of caching, concurrency, resilient design, and performance optimization.
  • Experience integrating external APIs and implementing complex business logic.
  • Hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.
  • Ability to own design, implementation, testing, and production delivery.
  • Git, automated testing, CI/CD, debugging, and strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive inventory, dealer integrations, OEM incentives, digital retailing, or payment calculations.
  • Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and containerized .NET services.
  • Redis, Elasticsearch, event-driven architecture, or messaging systems.
  • Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks.
  • Legacy .NET Framework modernization.
  • AI coding agents and automated code review/testing.
  • Financial precision, rounding, and auditability.

What Success Looks Like

  • First 90 days: Learn the architecture, contribute production improvements, and demonstrate responsible AI-assisted development.
  • First 6 months: Own significant services, improve reliability and test coverage, reduce technical debt, and promote repeatable AI-enabled engineering practices.

Ideal Candidate

A hands-on senior engineer who combines deep .NET expertise with a practical AI-enabled workflow. They independently validate generated code, anticipate edge cases, and deliver accurate, scalable, reliable solutions for business-critical pricing and payment systems.
