Burnett Medical Center is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Surgical Services Department.

Shift & Hours

This position will work 64 hours a pay period, 8 hour shifts with varying start times, rotating call and time as a circulator.

JOB SUMMARY

The Surgical Services Registered Nurse is accountable for coordinating total perioperative nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching, conducts preoperative phone calls and chart reviews. Provides leadership working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in State of Wisconsin.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing, with diploma or degree.
• Knowledge of current general nursing standards and current surgical/perioperative nursing standards.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers required.
• Current certification in ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred or within 6 months of employment.
• Previous operating room or perioperative experience preferred or completion of Peri-op 101 or equivalent course.
