THE OPPORTUNITY
The Nursing Supervisor coordinates and supervises patient care across multiple nursing units and departments. Working closely with Clinical Managers and nursing leadership, this role ensures timely, high-quality patient care, appropriate staffing, effective interdisciplinary communication, and smooth hospital operations during evening, night, and weekend shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Serve as a clinical role model and provide direction and support to nursing personnel
• Evaluate patient care provided by nursing staff and promote effective application of the nursing process
• Make appropriate staffing decisions to support high-quality, cost-efficient patient care
• Support nursing human resource management and positive employee relations
• Function as the on-site hospital representative coordinating operational and administrative activities during assigned shifts
• Participate as a member of the Nursing Leadership Team
• Plan and direct nursing activities in accordance with hospital policies and departmental goals
• Maintain effective interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
• Support professional interactions with patients, visitors, physicians, staff, and the community
• Demonstrate clinical leadership and commitment to professional development

• Nursing diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED
• Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years if not already held REQUIRED
• Minimum 5 years of Staff Nurse experience, including Charge Nurse responsibilities REQUIRED
• Previous nursing leadership experience REQUIRED
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification REQUIRED
• Clinical knowledge and skills necessary to oversee nursing care for patients ranging from infancy through geriatrics REQUIRED
