ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING

Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Safety is how we take care of each other.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for an EHS Manager to develop and run our occupational health and safety programs and keep every department compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. You'll spot hazards before they become incidents, train our teams, and partner with leaders across the site to make safe work the way we do everything. You'll report to the Senior Manager of Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk and work closely with our Compliance Manager.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT

? Visible impact — you're out on the floor every day helping people get home safe

? Variety across the site, from chemical safety and industrial hygiene to emergency planning and training

? A seat at the table with management and our Safety Committee, with real input into safety and environmental policy

? A growing facility where you can build programs and shape how safety works

WHAT YOU'LL DO

? Develop and implement health and safety policies, and communicate them across all departments

? Enforce federal, state, local, DOT, and environmental regulations alongside the Compliance Manager

? Continuously assess the site for safety concerns and work with teams on solutions

? Plan and conduct safety training, in person and through our LMS, covering emergency procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), powered industrial trucks, chemical safety, CPR, and more

? Record and report accidents and hazards, support root cause analysis and incident investigations, and track trends to prevent repeat incidents

? Provide technical expertise in chemical safety, and support industrial hygiene programs like respiratory protection and hearing conservation

? Lead the monthly safety meeting and keep our Safety Committee running

? Handle OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, and keep safety data sheets current and accessible

? Conduct safety inspections and audits, and keep documentation audit-ready

? Write SOPs and help departments put them into practice

WHAT YOU BRING

Must-haves:

? 3+ years of health and safety experience

? Thorough understanding of OSHA best practices and federal, state, and local regulations

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

? Critical thinking, strong attention to detail, and comfort in a fast-paced environment

? Able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs as needed, and to stand for long periods with a wide range of motion

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Nice-to-haves:

? Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field

BENEFITS & PERKS

? Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days

? Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance

? 401(k) eligible after 3 months, with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%

? 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here

? 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)

? A free beer after shift, because you earned it

PAY & SCHEDULE

? Salary: $90,000–$100,000/year

? Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 8:00am–5:00pm
