Every Great Beer Passes Through Your Hands First

Full-Time

ABOUT ASAHI BEER USA / OCTOPI BREWING

Founded in 2014 as a Wisconsin contract brewery, Octopi Brewing has spent over a decade brewing and packaging beer, seltzers, RTDs, and sodas for clients nationwide. In 2024, Asahi — brewers of Asahi Super Dry — acquired Octopi, making us the U.S. production home of Super Dry. Today, our 250+ person team of beverage industry pros keeps that same local, quality-first spirit alive at a state-of-the-art facility. Our Quality team is the checkpoint behind every can, bottle, and keg we ship.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Quality Technician to run the checks and tests that keep quality on track from brewhouse to finished product. You'll sample at key points in production, run physical, chemical, and microbiological tests, and share clear results with the teams who rely on them every day.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE GREAT

? Real lab variety — from gas chromatography and qPCR to sensory analysis, no two tests are quite alike

? Work side by side with Brewing, Cellar, Batching, Packaging, and Warehouse, with a direct impact on what ships

? A clear path to build deeper technical and lab skills in a brewery that's growing

WHAT YOU'LL DO

? Sample and test in-process and finished product, including ABV, carbonation, pH, bitterness, color, oxygen, diacetyl, yeast counts, and package integrity

? Run microbiological analysis and sensory evaluation to confirm product meets specification

? Document results, confirm they meet client and legal requirements, and place product holds when needed

? Share results with Brewing, Cellar, Batching, and Packaging so every department stays on track

? Organize, trend, and summarize analytical data for internal teams and client reporting

? Clean, calibrate, and maintain lab testing equipment

? Create and update SOPs, and keep consumables, reagents, and media stocked

? Partner with the Quality Manager and department heads to meet client expectations

WHAT YOU BRING

Must-haves:

? High school diploma

? Strong attention to detail and organization

? Familiarity with lab procedures such as pipetting, titrating, pH measurement, and GC sample prep

? Understanding of aseptic technique

? Ability to use all five senses to inspect quality

? Strong communication and time management skills, and comfort in a fast-paced environment

? Able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lbs as needed

? Proficiency with Microsoft Office

? Willingness to follow all PPE and GMP requirements

Nice-to-haves:

? Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field

? Prior quality assurance or laboratory experience

? Brewing or beverage packaging experience

BENEFITS & PERKS

? Medical, dental, and vision coverage — effective the 1st of the month after 30 days

? Company-paid life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance

? 401(k) eligible after 3 months, with company match — 100% up to 3%, 50% on the next 2%

? 120 hours of PTO annually, with accrual that grows the longer you're here

? 9 paid holidays (if they fall on your scheduled workday)

? A free beer after shift, because you earned it

CURRENTLY HIRING FOR
