Description

Job Summary

The Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PJM) owns delivery for a primary 5G/LTE platform program and its related SKUs/variants, coordinating cross-functional teams and lifecycle milestones across Feasibility, Development, and Evolution to deliver predictable schedule, cost, and quality results. In a matrix organization, this role partners closely with Product Management, R&D department managers, Quality/V&V, Product Engineering, AE/FAE, and Operations to resolve dependencies, manage trade-offs, and maintain execution visibility. The position reports to the VP of 5G & LTE Products R&D and offers growth toward broader program/portfolio leadership through strengthened lifecycle governance, cross-functional influence, and metrics-driven execution discipline.

 Objectives & Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery for the primary 5G/LTE platform program (and related SKUs/variants), accountable for agreed scope, schedule, cost/effort, and quality outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain the integrated execution baseline (scope, schedule, budget/effort, resources, deliverables, and risks), keeping plans current and decision-ready for stakeholder reviews.
  • Deliver feasibility and presales support by producing a concise feasibility wrap/proposal pack for RFQs/tenders (options, estimates, assumptions, and key risks) with Product Management, Sales, AE/FAE, and engineering.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution across HW/SW/V&V/Product Engineering to deliver prototype maturity and mass production readiness with Operations/factory handoff.
  • Control scope and requirement changes through structured impact assessment and trade-off decisions, converting alignment into executable commitments.
  • Ensure readiness for phase transitions by driving entry/exit discipline and validation against requirements, with clear outcomes for each milestone/gate.
  • Track and report  program performance through a consistent execution rhythm (milestones/deliverables, budget & effort, risks/issues, quality indicators), producing concise executive updates using standard PMO formats.
  • Resolve and escalate critical risks/issues; when alignment cannot be reached, prepare re-baseline packages and sustain post-release execution (CR, re-planning/re-budgeting, field issue closure) with AE/FAE and R&D.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Telecommunications) or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of hands-on technical project/program management experience delivering embedded/wireless products from feasibility/prototype through Mass Production and post-release maintenance.
  • Proven ability to baseline and control scope/schedule/cost/effort/resources/risks, and to run decision-ready stakeholder reviews.
  • Strong leadership in cross-functional, matrix environments, including negotiation and influence without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated governance discipline in change control, risk/issue management, and executive-ready program reporting.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to drive alignment across HW/SW/V&V and translate technical risks into delivery trade-offs.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification and/or Scrum Master certification; comfort operating hybrid models (HW stage-gate + SW agile) under unified program governance.
  • Strong business sense for technology trends and customer impact, aligning execution choices to roadmap intent and product outcomes.
  • Experience converting AI/automation into measurable execution efficiency (e.g., workflow/quality validation, reporting automation, process governance improvements) and scaling adoption across teams.
