Ebike Assembler
Job Type
Full-time, Part-time
Description

Why We’re Rad (about us):

At Rad Power Bikes, we help people get onto electric bikes built for everyday adventures. Our assembly team makes that possible by preparing consistent, dependable, ready-to-ride bikes with safety and quality at the center of every build.

Our E-Bike Assembler is an hourly role responsible for efficiently unpacking, assembling, adjusting, inspecting, and preparing new e-bikes and approved accessories. Success means completing builds within reasonable, established time expectations while following every required assembly step and safety check. This role focuses on new-bike assembly; advanced diagnostics and repairs are escalated to a qualified mechanic or supervisor.

Why You’re Rad (about you):

  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools; bicycle assembly experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and the discipline to follow model-specific instructions, torque specifications, and checklists on every bike.
  • Ability to work at a steady, organized pace, prioritize the build queue, and meet reasonable deadlines without cutting corners.
  • Sound judgment to stop work, flag a concern, and ask for help rather than guess or release an unsafe bike.
  • Clear communication, dependable attendance, and a team-focused approach.
  • Willingness to learn new models, accept feedback, and improve efficiency while maintaining quality.
Requirements

Additional Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity to use bicycle tools, torque wrenches, tire gauges, and approved assembly equipment after training.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach throughout a scheduled shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to safely move and position e-bikes and boxed products using approved lifting equipment or team assistance, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to use basic digital systems to track builds, parts issues, inspection results, and time worked.
  • Completion of required assembly, battery-handling, workplace-safety, and quality-control training before independent work.
  • Ability to complete test rides under company procedures using a properly fitted helmet and required protective equipment.
