Work Therapy Coordinator (Men's Campus)
Description

We transform lives.

Phoenix Rescue Mission is a place of hope, healing, and new beginnings for men, women, and children facing hunger, homelessness, addiction, and other life-controlling issues. We follow Christ’s example of servant-leadership and teamwork, and we are a certified Best Christian Workplace. God is doing important work here, and we’d love for you to be part of it.

As Work Therapy Coordinator on our men’s campus, you will be the hands-on coach who helps clients put what they are learning into practice. You will lead clients through daily work assignments across campus, building the reliability, teamwork, and skills that carry into employment and independent living. You will also keep our campus clean, safe, and running well. This is an active, on-your-feet role for someone who leads with energy and loves seeing men grow.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

For many of our clients, work therapy is where recovery becomes real. It is where showing up on time, finishing what you start, and taking pride in your work turns from an idea into a habit. Your coaching, encouragement, and consistency help men rebuild confidence and prepare for life after the program. Your work also keeps the campus a safe, dignified place for everyone who lives and serves here.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coach clients through real work. Train and mentor clients on their assignments, workplace expectations, safety practices, and proper use of tools and equipment. Give encouraging, constructive feedback and hold men accountable with dignity and consistency.
  • Plan and coordinate assignments. Build and manage work therapy schedules that balance client development, campus needs, and available work sites. Think ahead about how each assignment affects the culture of the campus.
  • Keep the campus clean and safe. Walk the campus regularly, inspect completed work, and follow up with coaching when standards aren’t met. Coordinate client support for Food Services, housekeeping, grounds, and other areas.
  • Partner with Facilities. Spot maintenance and safety concerns and work with Facilities on repairs.
  • Stay safe around tools and chemicals. Model safe habits every day and make sure clients do the same.
  • Support supplies and transportation. Keep client hygiene supplies stocked and distributed in a way that promotes dignity and responsibility. Drive PRM vehicles to move clients, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Document and communicate. Record client participation and progress accurately, and keep the Workforce Development Manager and residential and operational teams informed.
  • Minister through daily life. Build genuine relationships with clients and look for natural, appropriate opportunities to share the Gospel and invite men deeper into relationship with Christ.
Requirements

  • Experience coaching, training, supervising, or holding others accountable for their work (preferred)
  • Experience with individuals facing barriers to employment, or in residential recovery, social services, vocational programs, or another mission-driven setting (preferred)
