How GoMacro’s history shapes who we are today?

During her 2003 battle with cancer, co-founder Amelia Kirchoff created the first MacroBar® recipe in her kitchen on the Wisconsin family farm. In the years following, Amelia and her daughter and co-founder Jola began spreading awareness for the power of a balanced, plant-based lifestyle through GoMacro’s healthy and delicious MacroBars, which are now available in stores nationwide.

Today, our work is still guided by the values upon which Jola and Amelia built GoMacro: Live Long, Eat Positive, Give Back, Tread Lightly, and Be Well. It’s our goal to inspire people to have a healthy body, sharp mind, and bold spirit—and we believe doing fun, and meaningful work is part of that.

Position Description:

GoMacro is creating a new Director of Supply Chain role to strengthen how we plan, align, and execute across our growing business. Reporting directly to the SVP of Operations, this leader will oversee Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, and Logistics, with a mandate to build a world-class planning capability that connects commercial strategy to operational execution.

This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact at a growing, nationally distributed CPG brand. You'll lead an established team of planning and logistics managers, advance a demand planning transformation already underway, and help shape a more integrated, forward-looking Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Success requires more than technical expertise. We're seeking a leader who can translate complex data into clear business decisions, balance customer service with inventory and cost, build alignment across functions, and develop a high-performing team. This is a hands-on leadership role in an entrepreneurial environment. You'll set direction and develop the organization while remaining close enough to the details to challenge assumptions, solve problems, and drive meaningful improvements.

If you're energized by the opportunity to build a trusted, high-performing supply chain capability—and have the technical depth and leadership judgment to make it happen—we'd love to talk.

What Success Looks Like in Your First Year:

  • A monthly S&OP cycle that runs on time and ends with clear decisions, accountabilities, and timely execution.
  • An Executive S&OP that looks forward, surfaces risk early, and drives decisions rather than reviewing last month.
  • A demand plan that Sales, Finance, and Operations trust, and is supported by consistent measurement and continuous improvement.
  • Inventory policies that protect service levels while reducing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Clear decision rights between planning and manufacturing scheduling.
  • Measurable improvement in customer service, forecast accuracy, schedule attainment, inventory turns, and supply chain cost, supported by disciplined planning and execution.
  • Development plans for the team and a long-term organizational plan for enduring strength and resilience in our Supply Chain.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead S&OP and Executive S&OP

  • Lead and continuously improve the S&OP process, including facilitating Executive S&OP in partnership with the SVP of Operations and serving as the hub between Planning, Sales, Brand, Finance, Manufacturing Operations, and Procurement.
  • Ensure executive decisions are informed by forward-looking scenarios, clear trade-offs, and actionable recommendations.

Build a Demand Plan and process the Business Trusts

  • Lead Demand Planning, integrating sales history, account plans, commercial inputs, consumption data, and statistical models into one consensus plan.
  • Strengthen the partnership between Sales account owners and Demand Planning so the right information reaches the plan at the right time.

Turn Demand into an Executable Supply Plan

  • Lead Supply Planning and Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ensuring the supply plan drives sound procurement, scheduling, and capacity decisions.
  • Direct the work of the master supply plan and planning time fences in partnership with Manufacturing Operations, which owns detailed production scheduling and execution.
  • Partner closely with Procurement to translate material requirements into actionable purchasing plans, anticipate supplier constraints, and balance supply continuity, inventory investment, and total supply chain cost.
  • Plan capacity across our own production lines and contract manufacturing partners.

Optimize Inventory and Working Capital

  • Govern safety stock, reorder points, and inventory targets to protect service, increase turns, manage shelf-life risk, and reduce carrying costs, in partnership with Finance.
  • Lead Logistics Through a Strong Team
  • Lead warehouse operations, 3PL partners, direct-to-consumer (D2C) e-commerce fulfillment, and transportation through the Sr. Manager of Logistics.

See Risk Early and Act

  • Build forward-looking supply models and scenarios that expose service, inventory, and capacity risks before they affect customers, and mobilize the right functions to respond.

Leverage Data to Drive Decisions

  • Advance planning analytics, reporting, and adoption of improved planning tools and processes, including Microsoft Fabric and business intelligence (BI); establish supply chain performance metrics aligned with enterprise objectives.

Lead, Steer, and Develop

  • Lead and develop three direct reports — the Demand Planning Manager, Supply Planning Manager, and Sr. Manager of Logistics — staying close enough to the planning work to guide it, troubleshoot it, and ensure its quality.
Requirements

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain planning experience in food, CPG, or similarly complex manufacturing environments, including at least 5 years leading planning teams.
  • A track record of building or significantly maturing an S&OP or Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Confidence facilitating executive-level decision forums, framing trade-offs for senior leaders and engaging every stakeholder group.
  • Deep technical expertise in demand forecasting, MRP, master production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Experience planning across both internal manufacturing and contract manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP planning modules.
  • A low-ego, engaged leadership style, with a deep enough command of the planning work to guide and troubleshoot it, and comfort with ambiguity in a growing organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ASCM/APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, or an MBA.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or similar data platforms.
  • Experience leading logistics, warehousing, or D2C fulfillment functions.
  • Experience managing shelf-life-sensitive inventory.

Work Environment:

This remote position operates within a collaborative, values-based environment that spans office-based work, manufacturing operations, and warehouse and logistics operations, with regular engagement at our Viola, WI manufacturing headquarters. Time in manufacturing and warehouse areas requires adherence to food safety, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and safety requirements.

Travel Required:

Up to 25% travel per year, including visits to our Viola, WI headquarters and other operational partners, as needed.
