Jett Concrete is an established commercial concrete contractor based near Jacksonville, Florida, specializing in concrete construction for retail and commercial developments throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Our projects include work for major retailers such as Walmart, Sam's Club, and Publix. We self-perform our concrete work, including foundations, slabs, and exterior concrete.

As our project backlog continues to grow, we're looking to add experienced Traveling Concrete Superintendents to our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Concrete Superintendent to oversee commercial concrete projects throughout Florida and the Southeast.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of concrete construction experience, preferably with retail or large commercial projects, and can independently manage crews, interpret drawings, perform accurate layouts, and oversee concrete operations from start to finish.

This is a hands-on field leadership position requiring strong technical knowledge of foundations, slab-on-grade construction, rebar placement, and layout.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations on commercial concrete construction projects.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and site plans.
• Perform and verify concrete layouts using transits, lasers, and other surveying equipment.
• Supervise foundation work, masonry dowel placement, rebar installation, and slab-on-grade construction.
• Coordinate concrete pours, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Manage field crews and ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate with general contractors and other trades.
• Monitor quality and ensure concrete installations meet project specifications.
• Assist with hands-on fieldwork when necessary.
• Communicate project progress and potential issues to company leadership.
• Travel to project locations throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial concrete construction.
• Strong experience with concrete foundations, slab-on-grade, and exterior concrete.
• Ability to read construction drawings and independently perform concrete layouts.
• Proficiency with transits, lasers, and construction layout equipment.
• Experience supervising concrete crews and managing field operations.
• Understanding of masonry dowel placement, reinforcing steel, and concrete installation procedures.
• Ability to manage projects independently and coordinate multiple moving parts.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout Florida and the Southeast.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with retail concrete construction, including grocery stores, big-box retailers, or similar commercial developments.
• Previous experience as a Concrete Superintendent, Working Superintendent, or Concrete Foreman.
• Experience with Procore construction management software.
• Experience overseeing multiple projects.
• Background working for a self-performing concrete contractor.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $70,000–$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
