Head Football Coach
Description

Hyde Park Schools seeks to hire a dynamic, experienced, and Christ-centered Head Football Coach to provide leadership, administrative direction, and oversight of our entire K4–12 football program. At Hyde Park, our Head Coaches are responsible for establishing a unified vision and developing their respective sports from our youngest athletes through Varsity competition. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director and works collaboratively with school administrators, athletic department staff, coaches, student-athletes, and families. In coordination with the Athletic Director, the Head Football Coach will oversee program development, mentor coaching staff across all levels, establish consistent expectations, and create a clear pathway for athlete development from youth through Upper School. The Head Coach will lead the program in a fiscally responsible manner while fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and respect.

The primary purpose of athletics at Hyde Park Schools is to develop strong Christian young men and women, provide education through sport, and pursue excellence both on and off the field. Our athletic programs are grounded in four core values: Christ-Centered Culture, Biblical Worldview, Excellence, and Community. We seek a leader who demonstrates a personal commitment to Christ, models servant leadership, and intentionally develops the spiritual, academic, athletic, and personal growth of our student-athletes. The Head Football Coach will integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of the program, ensuring that decisions, relationships, communication, and daily actions reflect Christian principles. Through high-quality coaching, age-appropriate skill development, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Head Coach will establish high expectations and prepare athletes to compete at the highest level while honoring Christ in all they do.

Building a strong sense of community is essential to the success of our football program. The Head Football Coach will foster meaningful relationships with student-athletes, families, faculty, and staff while creating an environment where every athlete feels valued, supported, challenged, and accountable. We seek a leader who understands that successful programs are built on trust, collaboration, consistent communication, and a shared commitment to excellence. A key responsibility will be strengthening alignment across our youth, Middle School, and Upper School football programs, ensuring consistency in coaching philosophy, fundamental skills, character development, and program culture. Ultimately, our goal is to build a sustainable, competitive football program that develops young men of faith, character, and integrity who are prepared to lead and serve in their classrooms, communities, and beyond.
