Receptionist
Description

We are seeking a Medical Office Receptionist to become a part of our team!


  • Answer very busy multi-line phones and either direct the caller to the appropriate party or handle the caller’s needs yourself.
  • Greet patients upon arrival, sign them in and obtain insurance information and any other necessary data.
  • Provide patients with intake and new patient forms as well as copies of our office policies and legally required documents.
  • Process payments from patients for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and uninsured visits.
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on Physician and technician availability.
  • Maintain patient records confidentially.
  • Schedule patients according to scheduling protocol and only veer from protocol with permission from the Provider or Practice Administrator.
  • Ensure all referrals are obtained prior to appointment time.
  • Appointment reminder calls
  • Collect past due balances
  • Travel to other clinic sites as needed (Rarely).
  • Report problems, concerns or related issues to the Clinical Manager or Practice Administrator
  • Works with the Optician to dispense eyeglasses, contact lens orders, vitamins or eye drops.
  • Make appointment reminder calls for all three locations

Polish or Spanish speaking is preferred.


Must have a flexible work schedule.


Part-Time positions available

• Nextgen EHR experience would be an asset



Requirements

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in healthcare required; minimum two years.
  • Familiarity with medical billing procedures
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Familiarity with the referral process for HMOs
  • Insurance knowledge - Deductibles, Co-pays and Co-insurance is a must

Job Type: Part-Time


Salary: $17-19/hr
