Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor 

Department: Lift Maintenance 

Type: Full-time / Year-round

Position Overview: Perform preventative maintenance and provide safe Resort lifts.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Repair, maintain, and replace systems and components including mechanical, electrical, electronic low/high-voltage control systems, and diesel engines.
  • Perform fixed grip, conveyor, and detachable lift maintenance and inspections.
  • Clearly and accurately document certifications, lift logs, and compliance documents.
  • Keep machinery and lift stations clear of snow and ice and work outdoors eight plus hours a day.
  • Climbing and rigging up to 50’ on towers.
  • Participate in special projects including but not limited to ropeway rigging, splicing, construction and other projects as requested. 
  • Drive vehicles, snowmobiles, and ATV’s to reach towers and work sites.
  • Work unsupervised and be self motivated to complete tasks timely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Work together with all departments to build a positive working environment.
  • Show up to work on time, consistent attendance, and dependable.
  • Physically perform the essential job functions of this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Environmental Factors:

  • Frequently exposed to high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.  
  • Constantly standing, walking, bending, rotating, crawling, and standing.
  • Frequently skiing / snowboarding.
  • Sitting infrequently. 
  • Repetitive use of hands, arms, shoulders, back, and legs frequently.
  • Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and tools.
  • Frequently climbing stairs, ladders, working on elevated surfaces, and towers up to 50’. 
  • Lifting and carrying to waist level of 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally 50-90 lbs. assisted, carrying 20 lbs. often, and above shoulder lifting and / or carrying of up to 20 lbs. 
  • Frequently walking on uneven, steep, and slippery terrain with job site hazards.
  • Sight and hearing of acceptable standards for Essential Job Functions.
  • The working environment may be stressful when meeting public demands and staffing needs.

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced ski or snowboard ability.
  • Ability to ride ATV’s and snowmobiles.
  • Ability to operate, use, and control hand tools.
  • Ability to work around high voltage, mechanical, moving parts, and able to differentiate colors.
  • Ability to climb towers and work at heights.
  • Ability to physically shovel snow, work in uneven, steep, and icy conditions.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic people skills and ability to work as a team and get along with others.
  • Year round schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, problem solve, and multitask.
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Organized and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation.

Education / Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Two years mechanical / millwright experience experience.
  • One year experience with low voltage controls.
  • Basic understanding of ANSI B77.
  • NDT certified or ability to be within one year.
  • Fall protection, Lock/out tag out, and harness training or the ability to certify within one month of employment.
  • ATV/Snowmobile safety training is preferred but not required (will train in house).
  • Basic computer skills particularly in MS Office, internet research.
  • Background check required.
  • Valid Washington Driver License.
Salary Description
$17.13 - $22 / hour
