Position: Snack Bar Counter / Expo

Job Classification: Part-time; Year-Round

Reports to: Counter Supervisor

Pay Rate: Hourly, plus tips

Hours: Monday-Sunday (15-30 hours per week)

Job Description:

The Snack Bar Cashier/Expo will serve as the customer service contact for the Snack Bar. This position will welcome and warmly greet all guests to the Snack Bar, process customer transactions and answer questions about our seasonal Snack Bar menu, including diet and allergy information and beer pairing suggestions. The Snack Bar Cashier/Expo position requires previous cash handling and high volume retail or food service experience.

Daily Duties:

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival

• Inform guests of daily menu additions

• Answer questions about Snack Bar and Tasting Room menus and service

• Accurately ring in food sales, expo food items from hot line and call orders to kitchen

• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation

• Follow all safe food handling practices, as outlined in training

• Present menu items to guests ensuring plate accuracy, completeness and quality

• Communicate with kitchen management operational and customer service issues

• Complete sidework and other assignments as assigned by Sous Chef/Supervisor.

Key Job Skills:

• High volume, fast casual food service experience is preferred

• Strong organizational qualities with high attention to detail

• Point of Sale system experience

• Cash handling experience

• Some food prep experience will be considered an advantage

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and walk constantly for long periods of time – up to 7 hours

• Ability to safely navigate the Tasting Room and Snack Bar areas including crowded spaces, wet/slippery floors, hot or sharp kitchen equipment and tools, and/or stairs

• Ability to safely lift, carry and maneuver bags, boxes and supplies weighing up to 20 lbs. occasionally

Work Schedule:

• Less than 30 hours per week

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.

Work Environment:

Tröegs Brewing Company is a climate-controlled brewing and packaging facility. The following is a representative list of what a co-worker might encounter during a typical work day:

• Hot water,

• Steam,

• Pressurized vessels, and

• Loud working areas.

Co-workers regularly handle hazardous materials and regularly come in contact with broken glass and wet floors while working in close proximity to moving mechanical parts.
