Goldman Properties Philadelphia is looking for a Building Maintenance Engineer!
Your primary responsibilities as a Building Maintenance Engineer include inspecting, operating, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment in our commercial/rental spaces, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing, etc.

Building Maintenance Compensation:
$17 - $19 / hour, based on experience
Building Maintenance Essential Functions:
- Complete assigned work orders.
- Perform light repairs to buildings' HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including preventative maintenance (changing filters and cleaning).
- Change light bulbs, door locks, and ceiling tiles throughout the buildings when necessary.
- Paint surfaces throughout the buildings, including scraping, spackling, sanding, filling cracks and holes, etc.
- Manage inventory of maintenance materials and supplies; ensure shop area remains clean at all times.
- Experience with plumbing and carpentry.
- Willingness to support occasional weekend work as needed.
- Participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and to climb ladders throughout the workday.
- Experience using basic hand tools.
- Snow and ice removal duties are required.
- Team player attitude.
· Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
· 2 - 5 years’ experience in commercial or institutional maintenance environment preferred.
· Plumbing, or electrical skills, light carpentry, knowledge of paint and wallpaper.
· Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
· Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
· Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
