Description

Blessed Trinity Angels in Arms Catholic School, located in Ocala, has an opening for a dynamic and compassionate Substitute for our early childhood learning center.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Primary responsibility is to support classroom teacher(s) in educating the students in the importance of hard work through joyful rigor-engaging, dynamic learning that is academically, intellectually and personally challenging.
  • Foster a love of learning and celebrate student successes.
  • Challenge students to reach their highest potential.
  • Collaboratively work with other classroom teacher(s) to ensure students do their best.

Management & Organization

  • Supervise students with your full attention at all times and implement school rules/procedures.
  • Follow school drills and sub protocol procedures.
  • Have flexibility in your schedule and show up on time to the places you are scheduled.
  • Work collaboratively with coworkers to ensure that you exude excellence in any responsibilities given.
  • Follow detailed instructions well.

Professionalism & Communication

  • Demonstrate professionalism by being in regular attendance and arriving on time to work.
  • Complete required trainings on time.
  • Demonstrate professionalism at ALL times.
  • Utilize professional communication with strong grammar, syntax, usage and/or spelling skills.
Requirements
  • High School Degree.
  • 40 hours of DCF Childcare Training Course.
  • Preference with any of the following: FCCPC or National CDA, 30 hour Family Child Care Home Training, College Coursework in Early Childhood.
  • Ability to work with children, love for children and learning.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Requires an appreciation and respect for the Catholic Church and its teachings. 
  • Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. 
  • Their public behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the policies of the diocese.
