Description

The Clinical Assistant (CA) works under the guidance of the Support Services Manager. This team member assists in receiving patients and serving as a liaison between the physician, patients and other staff members. 


Major Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Greet every patient in an exam room
  • Update the patients’ allergies, medications, HIPPA, surgical history, medical history with changes
  • Address depression screening and go through PHQ survey if needed
  • Relay any complaints, refill requests, etc. to the provider if needed
  • Look at vitals, report any vital that is not WNL, make sure pain scale is charted
  • FMLA/Disability paperwork
  • Give vaccinations
  • Specialty pharmacy prescriptions
  • Chaperone for Provider
Requirements

 *Candidates for this position are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19*  

  • 2 years Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies
  • Ability to perform venipunctures, phlebotomies and other procedures preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Qualified CA candidates must be adept at multi-tasking, well organized, self-motivated, and have exceptional interpersonal skills.
