A Student Loan Specialist is responsible for providing quality customer service and account resolution to borrowers via incoming or outgoing phone calls, texts, and emails regarding their federal student loans. This position may utilize approved resources and internet sites to obtain location/contact information for borrowers. The goal of the specialist is to assist borrowers with
their loans, reduce delinquency and prevent borrowers from defaulting. The specialist will counsel borrowers on available repayment options, forbearance and/or deferment options. Other responsibilities may include speaking with students to conduct exit counseling, grace counseling outreach, and answer any other questions pertaining to default management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
While performing the duties of this position the employee is frequently required to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. The position requires mobile and manual dexterity.
This is a remote position which requires internet service and a designated workspace within your home.
Will work under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Default Prevention and the Senior Director of Student Accounts/Default Management.
