We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and organized design engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will research and develop new ideas and prototypes to create and build for our company.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Organize, maintain and control prints for revision level, accuracy and placement
· Complete incoming tool inspections and email incoming inspection sheet to all required departments
· Research items needed and create purchase order requests for approval
· Must be able to use equipment such as calipers, Microvu and 3-D printers
· Assist in product planning
· Use specialized software to create models and drawings of products
· Consider cost, effectiveness and safety of new designs
· Collaborate with other engineers, managers, and creative team
Experience/Education Requirements
· High School diploma or GED.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience of drafting in a manufacturing environment
· Minimum of 1 year experience with SolidWorks
· Minimum of 1 year of reading engineering prints
· Must possess advanced problem solving skills
· Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Programs: Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word; QuickBooks business software.
· Mathematics – knowledge of arithmetic and statistics including their applications in a business environment.
· Ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively (written and verbal) at all levels.
Physical requirements
- Must be able to work at computer/desk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to have repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on computer and/or related office equipment.
· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing so others will understand.
· Regularly lifts and/or move up to 40 lbs and occasionally must lift and/or move up to
50 lbs
