Description

Medical Assistants provide physician support services that ensure that healthcare facilities run smoothly. They are responsible for administrative as well as clinical tasks. 

Requirements
  • Outreach to encourage the improved healthcare manage of the person served.
  • Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources; Optimize resources and opportunities through community linkages and enhance social supports.
  • Assists in the assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, history and medication listing. 
  • Completes all necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practices charting policy.
  • Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams and medical procedures.
  • Administers prescribed oral medications and gives intramuscular and subcutaneous and intradermal injections.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Education, Experience & Skills required;

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program;
  • CPR/BLS certification is required;
  • One year experience working in a physician office;
  • Knowledge of substance abuse or related field;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively on a team.
Salary Description
$25.00- 26.80
