CNC Lathe Machinist:

We are a Manufacturing Shop Company seeking for dependable and innovative CNC Lathe Machinists who work confidently and independently. To join our team immediately. A CNC machinist operates, produces, and repairs precision parts and instruments by programming or editing programs, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine. You should have an aptitude for trigonometry, geometry, statistics, and algebra, computer, and interpersonal communication skills, physical stamina and a highly developed interest in production and processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
  • Sets-up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; trimming heads.
  • Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
  • Performs precision machining operations.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Keeps Machine and workplace clean and neat.
  • Maintains data sheets and part traceability.
  • Maintains acceptable attendance record.
Requirements

  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Machine Shop Technology or Machine Tool Technology/Machinist.
  • 3-5+ years of CNC Lathe machining experience.
  • Solid Fanuc Control knowledge.
  • Able to read and understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Self-starter, ability to work with little supervision.
  • Quality minded.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ethical behavior.
  • Self-motivation.
  • Able to use all type of measuring tools.
  • Computer skills to download and save programs.
  • Read and understand scheduling software.
