About the role
As Field Manager, you’ll lead the successful installation of commercial flooring projects across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. You’ll oversee multiple projects from pre-installation through closeout, making sure each one is completed safely, on schedule, and to our quality standards. You’ll partner closely with Project Managers, Sales, Estimating, subcontractors, installers, and general contractors to coordinate labor, materials, and scheduling while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What you’ll do

Before installation

• Join project kickoff meetings to review scope, schedules, materials, and installation requirements
• Review plans, specs, and details to spot and escalate potential issues early
• Coordinate schedules, material deliveries, and manpower with project teams and subcontractors
• Confirm specialty tools, equipment, and products with Foremen and installers
• Forecast labor, material, and production needs for upcoming projects

During installation

• Schedule and manage subcontractor labor daily, weekly, and monthly
• Inspect jobsites to make sure conditions meet manufacturer and project specifications
• Guide installers by interpreting blueprints and recommending best practices
• Monitor quality, including adhesives, sealers, layout, and workmanship
• Keep general contractors, superintendents, and Foremen informed through regular site visits
• Update Project Managers on progress and field conditions using ProCore
• Document field change orders and obtain approvals
• Coordinate rush deliveries and additional materials as needed

Closeout

• Verify installed quantities and report them accurately
• Oversee punch lists, cleanup, transitions, and final quality walkthroughs
• Resolve customer and site concerns quickly and professionally

What you bring

• 3- 5+ years of commercial flooring installation or field supervision experience
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Experience with ProCore or similar project management software
• Knowledge of commercial flooring products, adhesives, and installation methods
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple projects at once
• Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work environment

• Frequent travel to jobsites throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC
• Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs
• Computer and tablet use
• Occasionally lifting materials or product boxes up to 50 pounds
