We're looking for an experienced Field Sampling Technician to support oil and gas field sampling and laboratory operations in Williston, ND.

In this hands-on role, you'll support both field sampling and lab operations, collecting and transporting oil, gas, and NGL samples from customer sites while maintaining sample integrity and accurate chain-of-custody documentation. You'll also support sample preparation, basic analysis, sample login, and documentation in the lab. Along the way, you'll operate and maintain sampling equipment, coordinate with customers and internal teams, and help keep daily operations running safely, accurately, and on schedule.

What You'll Do

• Perform field sampling of crude oil, natural gas, and related products at designated client sites
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples while maintaining proper chain of custody, preservation, and sample integrity
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field sampling equipment, escalating complex issues as needed
• Prepare and maintain sampling containers, labels, materials, and field supplies
• Maintain company vehicles and field equipment in safe, clean, and reliable operating condition
• Complete chain-of-custody forms, field records, route documentation, and other required paperwork accurately and on time
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding sampling needs, schedules, routes, and service requirements
• Participate in cross-training and ongoing development to expand technical skills and knowledge
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in a related field preferred
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in field-based mechanical, technical, or industrial roles; oil & gas experience preferred
• Experience with field sampling equipment and collection, handling, preservation, and transport of natural gas, natural gas liquids, or crude oil samples strongly preferred
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard computer applications

Work Schedule, Travel, & Environment

• Full-time, field-based position
• Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
• Ability to work outdoors and operate a company vehicle for extended periods in all/varying weather conditions
