Description
Position Summary:
The registered nurses provides essential services to clients living in the community setting. They provide comprehensive assessment, education, and follow-up to keep them as safe and independent as possible at home. The RN plays in integral role in their overall health and well-being and works collaboratively with other members of the interprofessional team to provide and coordinate direct care for our clients.

Essential Functions:
- Performing comprehensive assessments/observations
- Recording client's medical history & symptoms
- Administering medications/treatments when needed
- Wound Care
- Coordinating with the client's care team to ensure there is a correct Care Plan in place
- Blood Draws
- Urine Samples
- Educating the client & care team about the health condition(s) & how to manage on a daily basis
- Maintain records and documentation as per agency's policies.
- Participate in quality assurance, meetings, and in-service education as outlined in policies.
- Work within the scope of policies and procedures established by the organization as well as other professional and regulatory standards.

Requirements
- Graduate of an approved nursing program with a valid Maine State license in good standing.
- Has ability to relate well with the public, colleagues and other professional agencies.
- Able to work alone in home situations, use good judgements and demonstrate decision making skills in critical or emergency situations.
- Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to client's homes on assignments. Vehicle must be insured as per policy.
