Position Overview

The First Steps Occupational Therapist (OT) provides early intervention occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years) and their families in natural environments. This is a contract position offering flexibility to build your own caseload and schedule while delivering family-centered, evidence-based therapy services.

Part-Time or Full-Time, Contract Position - Flexible scheduling with the ability to determine your caseload and availability

Salary: $86.00 - $106.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in natural environments (home and community settings)
• Conduct OT evaluations and ongoing developmental assessments
• Collaborate with families, service coordinators, and interdisciplinary team members
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and family-centered interventions
• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Indiana First Steps and state requirements

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all Indiana First Steps hiring and credentialing requirements, including but not limited to:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Indiana
• Experience working with young children and families preferred  
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
• Must meet Indiana First Steps qualifications.
• Ability to pass background checks, TB testing, and other state-required screenings  
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
