Position Overview

The First Steps Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides early intervention speech and language therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years) and their families in natural environments. This is a contract position offering flexibility to build your own caseload and schedule while delivering family-centered, evidence-based therapy services.

Part-Time or Full-Time, Contract Position - Flexible scheduling with the ability to determine your caseload and availability

Salary: $76.00 - $94.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services in home and community-based settings
• Conduct speech-language evaluations and ongoing developmental assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and the interdisciplinary team
• Coach caregivers on strategies to support communication, language development, feeding, and early literacy skills
• Monitor progress and modify interventions as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Indiana First Steps and state requirements
• Collaborate with service coordinators, therapists, and other team members

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all Indiana First Steps hiring and credentialing requirements, including but not limited to:

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana
• Experience working with young children and families preferred  
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
• Must meet Indiana First Steps qualifications.
• Ability to pass background checks, TB testing, and other state-required screenings  
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $76.00-$94.00 per hour
