We are looking for a bright and curious manager social media and digital communications to energize, grow and optimize NRF’s social media and communications vehicles. As an integral part of NRF’s digital team, you will be responsible for driving traffic, audience growth and engagement for NRF’s digital communications vehicles.
The ideal candidate has a passion for social media’s ever-changing possibilities, curiosity and enthusiasm around policy and advocacy, and an eye for news. In this position, you’ll write razor-sharp copy and will bring a test and learn attitude to develop engaging multimedia content that supports NRF programs and tells the story of the retail industry’s positive impact on the economy and communities across the nation, whether it’s creating jobs, supporting communities or driving innovation.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communication, English, journalism, digital media or a related field
•Minimum four years of hands-on experience managing social communities and copywriting
•Concise and creative writer and proofreader, with attention to detail and ability to alter style to audience
•Ability to meet deadlines under pressure
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Must possess good decision-making skills and solid judgement
•Experience and strong interest in advocacy or political communications
•Experience with social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc.) and related digital tools
•Creative and thoughtful about how new media technologies can be utilized in new ways
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
•Must be energetic and creative, and have a strong inclination for individual initiative
•High level of professionalism and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as external clients and vendors
•Collaborative partner with the ability to thrive in a team environment
•Some travel required
