Springfield Plastics, Inc. is seeking yard workers to work in our production storage yard in AUBURN, ILLINOIS.

The primary responsibility of the yard worker will be to work with a team to load semi-trailers and walk-in customers with company products. The yard worker is also responsible for production movement, production staging, production storage, grounds upkeep, order fulfillment, and quality checks, as well as other tasks.

The ideal candidates for this position are in great physical condition, hard working, prioritize attendance, work well in teams, love working outdoors year round and stay on task with minimal supervision.

Job duties for this position include:

  • production movement
  • load semi-trailers
  • load walk-in customers
  • product staging
  • product storage
  • upkeep of company grounds
  • forklift operation (3000 pound capacity to 15,500 pound capacity)
  • order fulfillment
  • boxing orders
  • cleaning and bagging fittings
  • quality checks
  • other tasks as assigned.
  • age 16+
  • high diploma or equivalent required
  • minimum 1-year work experience
  • valid driver’s license required
  • reliable transportation to and from Auburn, IL
  • keep up in a fast-paced environment
  • lift 75 pounds above head on repetitive basis
  • work in a team atmosphere while staying on task
  • able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, bend, stretch, crawl, jump and climb throughout entire shift
  • able to complete repetitive motions with hands, arms, feet, legs, shoulders and back throughout entire shift
  • tolerant to all types of outdoor conditions
  • make attendance a top priority
  • follow detailed instructions


  • Monday to Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Mandatory Overtime, Holdovers and Saturday mornings.
