Scope of Position
The intern may assist in the research, planning, translation, and implementation of art programs and materials for children, families, and visitors with special needs. The intern will receive practical exposure to art museum education, including teaching a variety of visitors in the galleries, schools, and at off-site care facilities; developing art-making activities for visitors of all ages and abilities; and creating self-guided materials. The intern will work with the supervisors to lead content development for a class, First Tuesday, or Summer Art Camp program. The work week for this position is Monday-Friday with occasional weekends and evenings required, totaling 35 hours per week.

Personal Statement Cover Letter
A detailed one to two page statement explaining your interest in an art museum career. Include information regarding your personal learning expectations for the internship; any prior museum experience; any art and art history related experience; and any teaching experience, especially working with children and/or those with special needs.

Three Letters of Recommendation
